Harbin Turbine Co. Ltd. is the key construction project of the First Five-Year Plan of China, and a large backbone enterprise with design and manufacture of large (air cooled and wet cooled) fossil steam turbine, nuclear steam turbine, combined cycle steam turbine, gas turbine and marine steam turbine as main business.
HTC has a staff of 5,500 persons, including more than 1,200 engineering and technical persons and near 400 senior technical persons. It possesses capacities for manufacturing 300MW, 600MW unit as well as 1000MW class ultra-super critical unit, above 1000MW nuclear unit and heavy gas turbine. The company has annual production capacity equivalent to 12000MW, proportioned over 1/3 of the total output of steam turbine for power generation in China, with its products spreading in 23 provinces, cities and municipalities and imported to some countries in European and Asia. The units manufactured by HTC win the praises of vast customers with advanced technology, flexible startup, safe and reliable operation, good economic effect, high efficiency and good after-sale service.
HTC is continuously improving its product quality and management level by insisting on the principle “Quality First and Customer First”, concentrating on strengthening the management is every aspect and emphasizing the actual product quality. In 1994, HTC gained ISO9001 quality system certificate; in 2001, gained the quality certificate and commodity inspection certificate of Xin Shi Dai Quality System Authentication Center ; in 1994, gained the qualification approval for technical responsible organization of nuclear steam turbine and conventional island. Thus, it realized in conformity with international practices and promote the quality management of the company to a new step.

It has vigorously developed new products, continuously increase the core competition of enterprise, researched and developed 3-casing and 4-casing 600MW subcritical air-cooled/wet-cooled steam turbine; 300MW subcritical air-cooled/wet-cooled steam turbine; and 668mm , 1000mm , 1200mm L-0/L-1 blade so as to maintain its dominance in turbine manufacturing trade.
In 2004, the main production and operation index such as output, sale income and gross industrial output value is ranked first in the same industry. In the first half year of 2005, HTC again renovated the production equivalent value of the entire year of 2004, and the index such as the gross industrial output value, product output, sale's income and all staff labor production ratio are in the leading positions.
