HTC has been awarded the contract for the steam turbine island of the CHN Energy Qinghai Chaidamu Desert Golmud East Base 4×660MW Coal-fired Power Project
It not only demonstrates the client's high recognition of the company's 660MW-class high-efficiency ultra-supercritical units but also provides strong momentum for future sustainable development. Following the earlier CHN Energy Qinghai Golmud Phase I 2×660MW project, this represents another collaborative project with CHN Energy Group in Qinghai Province, signifying the company's further consolidation of its market position in large-scale coal-fired power projects in the region. It also showcases the company's outstanding capabilities in technological innovation, project management, and service quality.

HTC will supply four 660MW-class high-efficiency ultra-supercritical, single-reheat, single-shaft, three-cylinder two-exhaust-flow, indirect air-cooling condensing steam turbines for the CHN Energy Qinghai Chaidamu Desert Golmud East Base project. The turbine model incorporates multiple signature technologies including multi-stage low-enthalpy-drop reaction-type blading, integral cast iron low-pressure inner casings, spiral casing admission, advanced sealing systems, and precision manufacturing. These features deliver exceptional thermal performance and flow path efficiency, along with outstanding load-following capability. The units offer flexible start-stop operation, secure and reliable performance, excellent economy, and convenient maintenance—characteristics that meet the requirements of new-generation coal-fired power projects and have gained widespread recognition and praise from clients.
