At 15:58 on September 24, Unit 4 of Guoneng Shenwan Chizhou Power Generation Co., Ltd., equipped with a turbine manufactured by HTC, achieved a successful first start-up. The unit reached and stabilized at the synchronous speed of 3000 rpm, with all operational parameters meeting excellent standards. This follows the earlier commissioning of the project's Unit 3, which was put into operation on August 21, laying a solid foundation for the dual-unit commissioning target.

The Guoneng Chizhou project utilizes a 660MW-class ultra-supercritical extraction condensing steam turbine developed by Harbin Electric Turbine Company. The turbine features an advanced configuration with double reheat, single-shaft, five-cylinder, and four-exhaust flows, paired with a 1040mm-class last-stage moving blade, achieving industry-leading comprehensive performance.During the design phase, the company fully leveraged its technical expertise to implement key innovations including optimized flow path geometry, enhanced valve performance, and improved ultra-high pressure steam admission design. These advancements resulted in comprehensive improvements in thermal performance and flow path efficiency.The project adopted an optimal design philosophy by integrating cylinder modules with proven long-term operational performance from multiple units of identical parameters and capacity. Furthermore, new high-temperature materials with mature application experience, suitable for elevated steam parameters, were selected to ensure high reliability from the outset. These design choices provide the unit with distinct advantages including flexible start-stop capability, secure and stable operation, and convenient maintenance accessibility.
