HTC has been awarded the contract for the steam turbine island of the Guoyuan Power Hami Guoneng 2×660MW Cogeneration Project
HTC has recently secured another significant contract, being awarded the tender for the steam turbine and auxiliary equipment in the Guoyuan Power Hami Guoneng 2×660MW Cogeneration Project. Located in the southwestern part of Yizhou District, Hami City, the project site previously saw the construction of a first phase comprising 2×300MW air-cooled coal-fired generating units. The current phase plans to build 2×660MW ultra-supercritical direct air-cooled units, with a total investment of 5.886 billion RMB and provisions made for potential future expansion.

Designated as a key energy project in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region's 14th Five-Year Plan and a core municipal livelihood safeguard project for Hami City, the project is expected to annually utilize 4.45 million tons of coal, generating 5.16 billion kWh of clean electricity. It will meet district heating demands of 4.34 million GJ and industrial steam supply demands of 7.48 million GJ for Hami City, significantly enhancing the city's power and heating security capabilities. Furthermore, as a major energy infrastructure initiative, the project upon commissioning will strongly boost local socioeconomic development, serving as a crucial pillar for the heating supply in western Hami and playing a vital role in promoting regional economic growth.
