Recently, the 100MW Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) turbine-generator set supplied by Harbin Electric Turbine Company for the Three Gorges Energy Xinjiang Hami Integrated Energy Demonstration Project achieved a successful first start-up and immediate grid synchronization on the first attempt, with all operational parameters meeting excellent standards. This project represents another milestone achievement for the company, following the successful execution of the Yumen Xin'ao CSP project, the Three Gorges Hengji Nengmai Guazhou project, and the Xinjiang Turpan Tangshan Haitian project.

The turbine island for the Three Gorges Energy Xinjiang Hami Integrated Energy Demonstration Project utilizes a 100MW steam turbine model developed by Harbin Electric Turbine Company. Customized to accommodate the specific characteristics of concentrated solar power (CSP) generation, the turbine integrates several of the company's advanced proprietary technologies. These include a reaction-type flow path architecture, low-pressure-loss valves, and a spiral-casing design for the high-and-intermediate-pressure steam admission sections. This configuration endows the turbine with significant advantages, such as a short construction cycle, a compact structural layout, flexible start-stop capability, and high operational reliability.
